CBD FAQs

What is CBD?

CBD, or cannabidiol, is one of many cannabinoids that can be extracted from the cannabis plant. There are approximately 113 cannabinoids found in a cannabis plant.

What type of CBD is low in THC?

CBD derived from hemp, not marijuana, is low in THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol—the chemical responsible for many of marijuana’s psychological effects. 1

How much THC can be in a product?

To comply with the federal 2018 Farm Bill, CBD products must have less than 0.3 percent THC.

What does full spectrum mean?

Full spectrum means that an oil or product contains all of the cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant in nature rather than just CBD (cannabidiol).

What does broad spectrum mean?

Broad-spectrum CBD oils contain everything that full-spectrum oils do, minus the THC. Through special filtration techniques, the THC compound can be extracted while leaving other cannabinoids intact. Broad-spectrum oils can also be created by starting with CBD isolate and then adding various cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids.

What are isolates?

CBD isolate is CBD that has been extracted and separated from all other plant material and compounds. Once extracted, it takes the form of white powder and can be used in creams, lotions, oils, tinctures, capsules, gummies, etc. 2Isolate is most commonly added to MCT coconut oil because it is a highly hypoallergenic carrier oil and enhances bioavailability.

What types of CBD products does MeyerSPA carry?

MeyerSPA carries topical CBD products, many of which feature analgesics in their formulation, including the following:

  • Creams
  • Lotions
  • Balms
  • Massage Oils
  • Roll-Ons

How are brands selected?

Each brand, like CBD Clinic and Plus CBD Oil , is carefully vetted to ensure product quality and compliance with both federal and state law. All products are verified by the manufacturer for concentration, quality, and safety through Third Party Lab Testing, complete with a Certificate of Authenticity per batch.
